From her earliest days in her family kitchen, Kate Weiser nurtured a love for baking and creativity that would later define her career. After graduating from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco (2005), she refined her pastry skills in acclaimed restaurants from Kansas to Kansas City, including Bluestem under pastry chef Megan Garrelts, where she learned to reimagine nostalgic desserts through a modern lens.
A move to Dallas opened new opportunities — at Stephen Pyles, then as Executive Pastry Chef at Nobu. But it was her time as Executive Chocolatier at Chocolate Secrets in Highland Park that sparked her passion for chocolate. There she explored the chemistry of tempering, texture, and design, merging science and art into her signature style.
In August 2014, Kate launched Kate Weiser Chocolate at Trinity Groves (Dallas), later expanding to NorthPark Center (2016) and The Shops at Clearfork (2018). National acclaim soon followed: a partnership with Neiman Marcus, a feature on Oprah’s Favorite Things (2018), and a spot among Dessert Professional Magazine’s Top 10 Chocolatiers in North America (2014). Today, Kate continues to redefine artisanal chocolate as both a culinary experience and a visual art form.
